Hairstyle for short hair – braids

Your hair is never too short for a braid. Well, almost never. So if you find yourself running out of styling ideas for your short hair or bob, just add a braid to it. Read this post to learn how to get yourself this funky, cool looking hairstyle.

Steps to create braided hairstyle for short hair-

Begin with freshly washed or a couple day old hair. If your roots are too greasy, use a dry shampoo or hair powder on your roots to absorb the oil. Apply some texturizing product like L’Oreal Paris Out of Bed Texturizer on the length and ends of your hair. Make sure to apply on dry hair. Set with a blast of cool air from your blow dryer. Avoid this step if your hair is too fine.

Ruffle your hair and mold it to a way you like. Twist some hair or blow dry it outwards. Then, grab a small section from one side of your head and begin braiding. The hairstyle in this picture features a fishtail braid.  If you do not have the time, you can just braid it regularly. But do take the time to practice the fishtail and you will be all set very soon with super awesome, funky hair.

Like in this style, you can make two braids, or just a single one, or even more than two. Once you have braided to half the hair length or the ends, lift some of the upper layers and pin your braids with a small sliding hairpin. Set your style with setting hairspray. You can add a small bow or hair accessory  in between the braids or over it if you wish!

This style looks good on girls with all hair types. Wear it with jeans, jeggings or a pair of shorts for a fun and cool look! Read this post on how to keep short hair healthy.
